The 2nd graders had worked on their project "It’s Show Time!!"

They practiced  the English chant "We’re Going on a Bear Hunt," and the song "It’s a Small World."

For their English play, each class chose a story with animal charactes from all over the world.  They performed for their families and the 1st graders on February 21st.

R6 & 7 performed "Swimmy," which is a famous story about a little black fish by Leo Lionni.

R5 & 8 performed "The Mitten," which is a popular folktale from Ukraine.

Great job, the 2nd graders!!

The 4th graders have studied about water in science, social studies and English.  They  tried measuring how much water they use to brush their teeth.  It was very interesting to have English lessons in the science room.  We also calculated how much water we use every day and realised that we should save our water.

They researched more about water in groups and made presentations.  The final goal of this unit was giving a presentation to the 3rd graders.  It was a great opportunity for the 3rd graders to learn about water and see how to give group presentations in English.

Good job, the 4th graders!!
