“New Friends Project”, writing letters to Nepal

The 4th and 5th graders wrote letters to our sister school, Notre Dame Secondary School in Bandipur, Nepal.

 For the 4th graders, it was the first time to write letters!　The students learned how to write a letter and worked very hard to write longer sentences in English.

The 5th graders wrote replies to the letters from their friends in Nepal. They introduced themselves, writing about their favorite things and what they are good at.

They also decorated their letters with colorful pictures and lovely designs, such as Japanese anime characters, Mount Fuji, the flags of Japan and Nepal, and more. We hope their letters will bring smiles to their new friends in Nepal.

The 6th graders are going to write the letters soon, and the students will receive replies from Nepal in January. We can’t wait to read them!
